Day Trip | Saatchi Gallery

Located in The Duke of York Square, Chelsea, the Saatchi Gallery is filled with a range of  minimalistic artwork all the way to bold eye-catching pieces. Now, I am no means an expert of any kind when it comes to art, but sometimes you can visit a gallery and find yourself staring at peoples work, wondering how on earth such a basic piece can be called 'art'. However, in the Saatchi Gallery I was amazed. I found myself completely dazed and entranced in how utterly beautiful some of them are.

The gallery is free of any entry charges and is open 10am-6pm everyday, making it the perfect day trip. Also, with it being located in the Duke of York Square, Kings Road, it also makes a good temporary break from shopping and the rush of the busy London streets.

In the Saatchi Gallery there are four floors, each consist of around 3-4 different gallery rooms. In each of the gallery rooms there are about 6-10 paintings or pieces of art, all of which fit some sort of theme that is consistent in that room.

Located on one of the floors, the gallery has its own shop, which you are able to purchase a range of different pieces of artwork, books, arts and crafts, stationary and much more. For me, it was hard to resits not buying absolutely everything!

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my day out in Chelsea and would definitely go back again.

Until next time,

Pretty In Pink

The month of February is heavily concentrated with pinks and reds. The reason being is pretty obvious, it's the month where Valentine's Day takes place. This day can be hit or miss; either you're all loved-up in a relationship, or like me, you're single, helplessly scrolling through Tinder (lol) and the only Valentines cards you get are from your parents or your bestie.

However, Valentines Day does have it perks. All of the shops go all out with their window displays and of course all the amazing clothes, shoes, bags, accessories, the whole lot, which makes window shopping, if you're poor like me, a lot more exciting. Although you do go by wishing you could get everything you see. Chocolate. There is chocolate left, right and centre, which can be a struggle if you're healthy eating. And of course, the flowers. Probably the only downside to being single on a day like so, you have to rely on yourself to get a beautiful bouquet of flowers just for you.

I am certainly loving the theme of pinks and reds this month and my favourite shops that are killing it so far are; Zara, Topshop, Aldo, and River Island.

Until next time,
