Mid Month Favourites

Leaving everything to the last minute as normal, I noticed that my October Monthly Favourites post never went up! So instead of making all of you wait a whole other month to see what I've been loving, I thought that I would do a Mid Month Favourites post. So here you go (p.s. I will leave everything linked below):

1. L'ORÉAL le correcteur Perfect Match Concealer

I only recently got this concealer and I already love it! I find that it does exactly what it says on the tin, and it is super bendable.
£6.99

2. GOSH Velvet Touch Lipstick in 003 Antique (MATT)

This lipstick is AMAZING!! If you're looking for MAC Velvet Teddy lipstick but don't want to spend that much money on a lipstick then I would highly recommend this one by gosh.
£6.99

3. YANKEE CANDLE in Fireside Treats

During winter, candles become my new obsession and this Yankee candle is a gift sent from above! Words cannot describe how amazing this candle smells.
£21.99

4. URBAN DECAY NAKED 2 Palette

I recently got this for my birthday and I have been using it non stop. The colours are all so versatile; you can create a subtle daytime look or build them up to create a smokey night time look.
£38

5. MAC Lip Liner in Whirl

I love lipliners. Personally I wear more dark nude shades and Whirl by MAC is the perfect colour to match my lipsticks. When choosing a lipliner I always tend to get a shade darker just to make my lips look fuller.
£12.50

6. BOURJOIS Bronzing Primer

I apply this on top of my foundation and before my powder and powder bronzer (yes I add more bronzer ha). I feel that this just gives my whole face more definition.
£.9.99

7. Dr. Dre Beats Headphones

Again, I was lucky enough to receive these as a birthday present and they are amazing. I now know what they hype is for Dr. Dre beats!
£169.95

8. No7 Youthful Eye Serum

Now this eye cream was in one of them free gifts you get when you spend x amount of money. This cream has made the skin around my eyes softer and brighter. (below is the price for a full size)
£19.99

This magazine is only £1 and in this issue it has the latest fashion trends, interviews, beauty and gift ideas!

A/W Nights | A Cosy Night In

It’s that time of the year again *squeals in excitement* and if you didn't already know, autumn and winter are my two favourite seasons. Ever!! Halloween, Bonfire night, Black Friday, Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year’s Eve. I mean seriously what’s not to love?!

With the leaves falling from trees, cold rainy days (I mean what do you expect, this is England we’re talking about), and darker days, to me this sounds like a perfect recipe for a cosy night in… basically every night!

For me a cosy night is not the same without some fairy lights and candles (don’t feel like you only have to only light one, there’s no limit. Trust me!) With your fairy lights glowing in the back and your candle/s warming up the room I think about now would be the perfect time to get into you cosiest pyjamas and grab yourself a hot chocolate.

Now that we're all cosy and comfy and have our delicious hot drink, by now I would've climbed my way into bed, grabbed my laptop, phone and the current book I'm reading (right now I'm reading 'I heart Hollywood' by Lindsey Kelk), maybe listen to some music or continue watching one of the series I'm loving. At the moment I am loving Teen Wolf, Awkward, Faking It, Scream Queens, KUWTK, Empire and so many more! (as you can tell, I like my series).

And if thats not enough for you then I would say run your self a nice hot bath, throw in a bath bomb (or two) and enjoy the rest of your night.

Until next time,

Nadia

Tips | The Right Uni for You

Choosing the right uni for you can be a hard, tedious decision making process. But I’m going to try my best to help you all through this and narrow it down to the key point you should consider while looking around, after all you’ll be living there for 3 or even 4 years!

Currently choosing uni’s myself I know what it’s like, dragging your parents all over the country (quite literally) looking at uni’s that you quite possibly might not even go to, but at the end of the day it’s something that has to be done.

1. MAKE SURE THE UNI DOES YOUR COURSE!!
Now I know this sounds obvious but some people (including myself) while looking online at all the universities will get drawn into a uni just because it looks pretty. Although thats a huge bonus (in my opinion anyway) that’s not what you're looking at the uni for. If it doesn't do the course you're after, don't be disheartened there are PLENTY more universities out there that will be perfect for you.

2. DISTANCE FROM HOME
Now we’re not all the same when it comes to leaving our parents at home, but if you're like me then you’ll want to move away from your hometown (but not too far) and experience the ‘real world’ for yourself as well as having an increased amount of independence, but with independence it also means having to do your own washing, cleaning AND cooking, as well as the shopping as well as paying your bills on time and theres probably a lot more to come!! So maybe staying closer to home isn’t such a bad idea after all! Another thing to bare in mind would also be whether or not you wanted to travel home every now and then, if so make sure you take that in to consideration when completing your UCAS application.

3. LOCATION
For me while looking at universities another key factor was the location of the university itself, i.e. how far away it is from the town centre, supermarkets, nightlife etc.

4. CAMPUS OR CITY UNIVERSITY
A way to narrow down your options while looking at universities is to decide whether or not you want your potential uni to be a campus university; where everything is all in the one place, such as lectures, shops, accommodation, basically like your very own educational village.. full of students. Or if you would prefer a city university; where the campus is spread across the city as well as your accommodation. Each have their own benefits e.g. if you chose a campus uni everything is all in the one place, you can have longer lie ins! And all your friends are close by, but if thats not for you then a city uni has just as many benefits for example: you get to explore the city, get a taste of what its like to be fully independent and learn how to manage your time and getting places on time too.

5. LIVING EXPENCES
Although at university you get a student loan to help with the finance but depending on where you study most of that will go on your accommodation and bills. I would recommend trying to get a part time job to allow you to buy your food, clothes, shoes, accessories and going out but if you don't need the extra money then just sit back and enjoy your new lifestyle.

Until next time,
